With the Ladies Division 2 matches all complete for the season and only 1 match left in Ladies Division 1, it’s time for a recap of how our teams have been doing.

First up is Division 1 which only has one fixture left which does not happen until the 11th April at Harold Hill.  The title is all wrapped up by Harold Hill as they are 8 points clear having gone unbeaten all season and only dropped 2 games which is a massive achievement.  Our first pairing have done a great job after some early team changes and also a missed match due to lack of players.  They only need to win 1 of their remaining 2 matches in the last fixture to secure second place in the league from Hunters.

Our second pairing is also in a precarious position having also missed a fixture due to lack of players.  They are 2 points clear of bottom of the table Wychelm with only one fixture left.  With a superior games won statistic and a superior points average statistic, it would take a heavy loss by us and a massive win by Wychelm to affect the positions.  However, Wychelm have been on a bit of a run recently taking points in their last fixtures but at the moment it looks like Wychelm will be dropping down a division.

The Division 2 season is now over with Emerson Eagles A taking the title and with it promotion.  Like Harold Hill in division 1, Emerson also went through the season unbeaten and also only dropped 2 games which is a great achievement.  Runners up in the league were Emerson Eagles B by 2 points over our 3rd pairing who finished comfortably in third place.  We can take solace in finishing with the highest points scored in the league.

So it has been a largely successful season for our ladies given the missed fixtures and change of personnel in the teams.  Given the limited numbers of players we have to select from, all of the ladies at the club who have played in matches deserve a big pat on the back for their performances.  With only one fixture left, let’s all get behind and support Charlotte and Penny and hope they secure their division 1 status for next season.
