Well done team – 5-4 victory against Harold Hill (could have been 6-3 if I hadn’t put an easy smash in the net!!
Fantastic result from Tom and Penny, who played their socks off tonight, winning all 3 games which was no easy feat. The games were very close and there were some amazing rallies, especially the 7 lovely net drops from Tom that rolled down the net in our favour!
Bazile and Lisa played so well too. They lost their first game which was close and then taking their next two games to deciders. Finally winning their last game. Great finish.
Kev and I had a bad start, losing out in a slow but close 2 games. The second match went to 3 games. Having won the first, which was close, we don’t know what happened in the second, then I threw away the deciding point in the 3rd.
We then found our way to win a convincing last game!
We were very lucky club night was quiet tonight, as we used 2 courts all night and still only managed to finish with 10 minutes to spare.
We hope the games are not so close in our mixed against Emerson next week at home.
