The league committee met on Friday to decide the formation of the 2015/2016 tables. As the deadline for submitting teams was Friday, the new leagues are now decided. There are some major changes for the coming season due to changes at clubs.

So, on to the tables.

Ladies Division 1:-
As Hunters have withdrawn from the league this season, the Ladies Pairs Division 1 is down to 4 teams from 5 teams last season.

Ladies Pairs Division 2:-
As Wychelm has withdrawn one of their teams from the Ladies Pairs, Ladies Pairs Division 2 also drops down to 4 teams from 5 teams last season.

Ladies Pairs Division 3:-
No change for this season as it remains 4 teams in the division.

Mixed Division 1:-
Since we have withdrawn one of our mixed teams and Hunters have also withdrawn their team from the mixed divisions, the league were left with only 6 teams.  Emerson Eagles wanted to submit another team for the mixed divisions but this would leave seven teams.  The league decided that seven teams in one division would mean too many fixtures.  Having two divisions, one with 4 teams and one with 3 teams would not be viable as it would mean too few fixtures for the second division.  Therefore, it was decided to keep the six teams and form a single mixed division.

Men’s Division 1:-
Again, Hunters have withdrawn from the league and as Division 2 champions they were promoted to Division 1 but are no longer competing.  Also, Epping have withdrawn their men’s team from the league.  Therefore, due to finishing second place in division 2 last season, our very own Men’s 1 team have been promoted to Division 1 this season!  Great news for the lads and it means a harder season ahead than previously thought!

Men’s Division 4:-
As Epping and Hunters have withdrawn, there’s been a bit of reshuffling in the higher divisions.  Two teams from division 3 have been promoted to division 2 with one team relegated from division 2 to division 3.    Due to this, two teams from division 4 were promoted to division 3 with one team being relegated from division 3 to division 4.  What this means is that the divisions are evened out with 5 teams in divisions 1, 2 and 3 then four teams in division 4.

So, all that is left now is to get the fixtures sorted out, the team line-ups sorted out and get practising for the season start.  I’ll be updating the website over the coming week to reflect the new tables and then the fixtures will be added in due course when they are confirmed.  As always, they’ll be on the website and on the calendar.  If you subscribe to our calendar then you’ll see the fixtures start to appear on your calendar.

Good luck teams!
