At the AGM, our Chairperson, Tony announced he was stepping down in his role and leaving the club after 26 years. As Tony has retired and moved further afield, it is a bit too far to travel each week.
Therefore, we have decided to make Tony an honorary member of the club in gratitude for his many years of service. We look forward to Tony visiting when he has the chance.
Since Tony stepped down, there was a vacancy for the Chairperson’s role. Noel bravely stepped up and agreed to take on the role.
The other roles on the committee remained with the same people so we now have:-
Chairperson – Noel
Secretary – Paula
Treasurer – Ross
Match Secretary – Linda
Ladies Captain – Jess
Men’s Captain – Gary
Mixed Captains – Jo & Andy
As the AGM started late, we were always trying to play catch up. We did, however, manage to get through most of the items on the agenda. The minutes of the AGM will be issued out by Paula on email to all members and we’ll also post them on the Facebook group page.
So, it’s bon voyage to Tony with our heartfelt thanks for his contribution to the club. Thanks from all of us at the club – enjoy your retirement!
