This week saw the first matches of the Ladies Pairs with our own Corinthians A and Corinthians B playing in the division 1 match at home.
The results for the match were:-
Corinthians A vs Wychelm A = Corinthians win 21-16, 21-15
Corinthians B vs Harold Hill = Harold Hill win 13-21, 7-21
Hunters A vs Corinthians B = Hunters win 21-17, 21-15
Harold Hill vs Corinthians A = Harold Hill win 21-19, 19-21, 21-14
It was a mixed bag for our A team of Paula and Jo with a convincing win against Wychelm but a tough loss against Harold Hill. With Harold Hill the favourites, it went to a third game but our pairing just fell short.
Our B team of Charlotte and Penny didn’t fare as well with tough matches against Harold Hill and Hunters.
It’s still early days though with plenty of matches left to play. Out C team were also away in Division 2 but the results are not in yet. Once they’re in, we’ll have a report for you.
In the meantime, the table for Division 1 has been updated.
