Last week saw the Ladies Pairs 1 and 2 in action at home in their Division 1 matches.  With the Ladies 1 pairing of Paula and Sue taking on Hunters in their first match, it was a tough opening to the night.  Despite losing the first game 18-21, Paula and Sue pulled through to demolish them in the second 21-8.  With the points to play for, our pair took the win convincingly 21-13 to secure a league point.

Our Ladies 2 pairing of Charlotte and Penny took on bottom of the table Wychelm in their first game of the night.  It was a very close run affair but Charlotte and Penny managed to win 21-19, 21-19 to take the league point.

This meant the last game of the night for our pairs were against eachother.  With bragging rights up for grabs, first blood went to Charlotte and Penny in a close run game which finished 21-19.  However, Paula and Sue stepped it up a gear and took the next game 21-10 to set up the decider.  With tension running high, it was Paula and Sue who pipped it 21-16 in the final game to take the maximum 2 league points for the night.

Good showing all around by both of our pairs with a total haul of 3 points out of 4 for the night.  The league tables are now all updated with our A pairing of Paula and Sue in 2nd place overall and our B pairing of Charlotte and Penny lying 4th overall.

Well done ladies!
